1. Introduction

This notice describes how personal data is processed when you visit alessandrofalcone.dev (the “Site”), the professional portfolio of Alessandro Falcone, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended, and applicable Italian cookie rules.

This notice applies only to the Site and not to third-party websites that may be linked from it.

3.1 Data you provide (contact form)

  • name;
  • email address;
  • subject (optional);
  • message content.

These data are needed to reply to your request. Providing them is optional, but without them we cannot handle the enquiry.

3.2 Technical and session data

  • PHP session identifier (technical cookie);
  • language preference;
  • anti-bot verification status (checkbox, slider and puzzle) used before revealing contacts and submitting the form;
  • technical security logs (e.g. email sending errors), stored on the server.

3.3 Analytics data (only with consent)

If you consent via the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC), which may process Site usage data (pages viewed, devices, aggregated events, analytics cookie IDs). Without consent, analytics storage is not enabled.

5. How we process data

Processing is carried out with IT tools and appropriate security measures (HTTPS, limited mailbox access, human verification before form use, spam honeypot).

Form messages are sent by email (SMTP) to contact@alessandrofalcone.dev via PHPMailer.

6. Recipients and transfers

  • hosting / email providers needed to run the Site;
  • Google as Google Analytics 4 provider, only if you consented to analytics cookies.

Google may transfer data outside the EEA under GDPR transfer tools (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses). See policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their marketing.

7. Retention

  • Contact messages: up to 12 months after the last exchange, unless needed for legal defence;
  • Session / anti-bot status: session duration or typically up to 2 hours for “verified” status;
  • Cookie preference: 12 months;
  • Analytics data: according to GA4 settings (often up to 14 months on Google’s side);
  • Technical logs: as needed for security/diagnostics (normally no more than 12 months).

8. Your rights

Under GDPR Arts. 15–22 you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (where applicable), objection and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 14. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us for deletion.

This notice may be updated. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the current version.
